Description / Notes:  Pyrop ( Czech garnet ) produces dark red, slightly purplish, vitreous, translucent grains up to 5 mm in size, which grow throughout the  pyroxenic peridotites weathering to serpentinites. These rocks resemble South African kimberlites.This is specimen from type locality.
